I'D ALWAYS WANTED AN HK AND FOUND ONE USED AT A COP GUN SHOP FOR 475.00. I WASN'T SURE HOW MUCH THEY RETAILED FOR BUT MY GUESS WAS RIGHT. I ONLY GOT ONE MAG WITH IT IN IT'S ORIGINAL BOX. I DON'T THINK IT WAS FIRED MUCH DUE TO THE FACT THAT SOMEBODY SPENT THE BIG BUCKS ON IT BUT ONLY HAD A SINGLE MAG TO SHOOT WITH. IT WAS MADE IN 2001 AND I JUST GOT IT 7-07. I HAVE SHOT IT TWICE WITH EVERYTHING. BALL, HOLLOW POINTS, +P, FIOCCHI, FEDERAL, AMERICAN, REMINGTON, AND NO JAMSIN ABOUT 300 ROUNDS. THE TWO STAGE RECOIL SPRING DEFINITELY MAKES A DIFFERENCE. TARGET AQUISITION IS EASIER W/THE LESS RECOIL AND THE TRIGGER IS SMOOOOTH! THE SMOOTHEST. WON'T SELL THE G21 BUT I HAVE TO SAY THE H AND K IS SOMETHING ELSE. I THOUGHT ABOUT A KIMBER BUT AFTER READING VERY MIXED REVIEWS I MAY GO GLOCK OR H K NEXT TIME. GLOCK RELIABILTY AND MAG PRICE PLAY A PART IN CHOICE WITH ME. ALSO GET NIGHT SIGHTS ON ANY GUN YOU BUY. 80% OF SHOOTINGS HAPPEN AT NIGHT.

Ok. I''m going to start by saying the other guy who rated if a 4 out of 5 because the grip is bigger than the 1911??? What were you thinking??? Do you have something against modern double stack pistols? That''s what makes this weapon better than a 1911. If ANYTHING you should rate the 1911 a four out of five because of your opinion about the grip. It''s a double stack... That simple. But anyways, I''m a Marine. I''ve used the USP a lot. It''s much better than the Beretta M9 ]because of the .45''s stopping power[ and MUCH better than the 1911 ]Because of it''s double stack capabilities and higher magazine capacity[. It''s a sexy weapon too. It looks fantastic. Don''t get me wrong, I''m not a modern arms enthusiast. I own two 1911''s ]1 Springfield and 1 Colt[, a Ruger Vaquero chambered in the REAL .45 ].45 Long Colt[, and also a Colt SAA chambered in the same .45 Colt. So as you can see I''m not against outdated weapons at all. I enjoy them much more than most of today''s weapons. But I know a better weapon than a 1911 when I see one. And this is it. It''s superior to the 1911 in every way. And it''s the easiest pistol to score expert on the range with!

Tis weapon is nothing but the best in everyway. Prior 0311 and 8152/Security Forces / Recon...This is the weapon of choice in CQB, A all around weapon with lots of stopping power you dont feel but your advesery does and with the right rounds Hydro Shots are a must have spin control and a nice hole in and an big hole out. A must have weapon. If yo like combat shooting wow you will be pleased.

Let me start by telling everyone the only reason I rated this gun as a 4 and not a 5 was due to the size of the grip. I have always preferred a 1911 type pistol. I picked up a USP 45 used since it was a good price and likes that the controls are virtually identical to a typical 1911, with the exception of the DA option. The gun shot very well. Accurate, totally reliable, and to my surprise recoil felt lighter than a full size 1911. I have owned several 1911s over the last 15 year and would bet my life on the reliability of the H&K over any of them. I did sell it since I do think it was a little too bulky for my taste. I have checked out a compact USP 45 recently and love how it fits my hand and points. While I will not give up my 1911s I will probably add a compact USP to my collection in the near future to.

Love this gun. Everything about it is smooth and crisp. Would recommend to anyone, you wont be dissapointed. I do suggest you hold one before you buy as the grips are alittle wider than say a 1911, but I dont see that as a negative, just different.
