Bright, buttons are well placed, batteries last 2hrs or more, but the release latch is placed too close to the body of the light. You need small fingers to be able to release the light from the gun. Attaching the light is a cinch, but anyone with average to big fingers will not be able to get under the latch to release the light.
If you are expecting Surefire durability be warned. The body of the light is not aluminum like the X300. I use this for work, and have dropped and bumped it a number of times. It shows battle damage in a more pronounced manner than the Surefire.
